Job Description

Main Duties:

  • Receiving Goods-In from couriers, counting in, signing for boxes and retrieval of delivery notes
  • Ticketing received goods and ensuring stock correctly put away
  • Ensuring storage of stock is safe and in an organised manner
  • Opening and closing fire shutters daily
  • Ensuring the warehouse remains tidy and safe. Disposing of rubbish and breaking down cardboard for recycling
  • Ensure warehouse is secure – monitoring all access areas
  • Loading van for deliveries to store, schools and other suppliers
  • Picking replenishment for Store on a daily basis
  • Delivery of stock to store, on a daily basis, using the company vehicle

 

General Duties :

  • Undertaking stock taking as required
  • To assist with the picking of store and/or internet orders and passing to Orders and Fulfilment Manager for packing if requested
  • Any other tasks as requested by the Warehouse Manager or Director

 

Requirements:

  • Clean current driving licence
  • Organised, motivated, reliable and enthusiastic
  • Ability to work within a small team but also independently if required
  • Basic IT skills – Word, Excel and eMail
  • Able to lift heavy boxes

 

Benefits:

  • Salary from £18,000 p.a. (dependent upon experience)
  • Contributory company pension
  • 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays and Christmas shutdown period)

 

Hours Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
