Location – Chertsey

Salary – £116 per day

Contract length – 31 December 2021

Summary of the role of a Procurement Planning Associate

This team consists of dedicated purchasing experts with regional insight and is divided into three parts: procurement, sourcing, planning. The vision for this team is to act as an effective and centralised control tower between our customer and suppliers, particularly in communication channel. You will be responsible for many key aspects of buying function which has a direct impact on success and profitability of the company. You will be actively involved in all areas of the business and this will lead to substantial interaction with other team members at all levels including senior management plus contact with external customers and suppliers. In particular, daily communication with our HQ in Korea, which is one of the most important part of this role, is required.

Key Responsibilities of a Procurement Planning Associate

  • Responsible for the day to day running of the Procurement activities
    (delivery/quality/price, etc.)
  • Reviewing supplier’s quotation and making Sales Offer for the internal customers
  • Maintaining and updating of purchasing data on the system with accuracy
  • Maintaining and developing robust relationships with external suppliers/forwarders, ensuring that they are meeting our requirements in all aspects
  • Maintaining and updating of invoice/billing data on the Global ERP system with accuracy
  • Represent customers in negotiating price as well as purchasing contract with suppliers
  • Preparing and issuing request for quotation(RFQ) and purchase orders to suppliers in accordance with departmental and company operating procedures & policy

Key Competencies of a Product Procurement Associate

  • Full training will be given but experience in a purchasing/commercial environment will be beneficial
  • High accuracy and attention to details
  • Able to work supervised and as a team in a cross functional working environments
  • Hard working and tenacious
  • Ability to multi task and effectively manage time and workload under pressure
  • Able to work in a multi- cultural office environment
  • Similar industry background Electronics/Sales
  • Similar industry experience as a buyer
  • Korean speaking would be an advantage
  • A Graduate calibre – Business background preferred
  • A High level of computer literacy is essential
  • Total familiarity with MS word, Excel and Outlook is necessary.
  • Experience in ERP (SAP) system or any similar Hard Skills preferred
