Summary of a Marketing Executive
Working as part of the Commercial & Business Support team, the Marketing Executive actively contributes to ensuring that the Freight Forwarding business objectives are achieved via communication that should generate knowledge, interest, understanding and confidence in our brand, strategies and operations. Examples of the communications are Sales Campaigns, Newsletters, Event attendance & presence, merchandising, and representation in both traditional and new media.

Key Responsibilities of a Marketing Executive
• Show a willingness to undertake additional roles to meet the needs of your department and colleagues.
• Participation in the creation, development, and execution of the Business Development strategy within the Commercial & Business Support function.
• Model the company values in day to day interaction internally and externally
• Support sales, product, network, and branches in achieving their respective business objectives in the most efficient and effective way possible.
• Ensure all department activities are made in accordance with industry best practice, ISO, standard operating procedures, regulatory compliance and H & S.
• Complete all available G-Campus training modules relevant to your sales function, consult with superior.
• Ensure that you have an excellent understanding and working knowledge of all aspects of Health and Safety. Familiarise yourself with the rest of the Health & Safety Manuals as appropriate, including Risk Assessments and COSHH.
• Keep the working environment clean and tidy at all times.
• Use various software programs such as MS Office, Super Office (CRM), and E-Marketeer to conduct & measure campaigns & communications.
• Prepare and produce presentation material – including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Support events, such as the European Book Fairs, including stand supplier management, supporting materials and related correspondence.
• Assist with ad hoc projects within the Sales teams, and other projects outside Business Development where applicable.
• Support the line manager & other departments with internal & external communications.
• Ensure external communications follow corporate, legal, and brand guidelines.
• Lead the ordering, printing, mailing, inventory and management of materials to maintain integrity of the brand and effect cost control.
• Other ad hoc requests from Senior Managers/Directors.
• Comply with country, region, and global processes to validate and measure spend, ROI, and participation rates related to the budget, campaigns, and events.
• Utilize RHO & DHO resources wherever possible to optimize design, campaign, and knowledge for UK Marketing initiatives

• Strong organizational & communication skills
• Creative in communications, process, and message delivery
• Experience with social media use for sales and brand development
• Experience in freight forwarding and logistics industry preferred
• High level of design and copywriting skill
• Fully PC literate and able to use various platforms & software
• Customer Satisfaction and entrepreneurial mind set
• Able to build credible relationships with others
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Able to plan and prioritise workloads is essential
• Creative ideas on improvements within the function
• Ability to take responsibility for own workload
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with variable & simultaneous requests being made
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic approach to work at all times
• Fluent in written and spoken English
