Marketing Assistant

Location: Surbiton

Salary: £25 – £30,000 PA

Duration: Permanent

Hours: Full Time/Part Time: 25-30 hours, Monday – Friday Office based.



Summary of a Marketing Assistant

The Marketing Assistant will be required to provide support with a variety of tasks, primarily relating to supporting marketing of the Company and new business development.


Key Responsibilities of a Marketing Assistant

  • Organization of corporate events and networking activities, to include management of guest lists/invitations, and liaising with venues, suppliers etc.
  • Managing the Company’s social media pages including LinkedIn and Instagram. This will include obtaining and populating content for social media posts and ensuring regular activity.
  • Instigation and organization of charitable fundraisers and other CSR activities.
  • Formatting and amending marketing materials as necessary.
  • Assisting in the setup of a Client Relationship Management (CRM) database / system. Upon implementation, being responsible for inputting data and updating the database / system regularly.
  • Formatting and proof-reading various documents including new business proposals.
  • Any other duties reasonably requested to assist the Company in developing new business and enhancing the marketing profile.



Key Competencies of a Marketing Assistant

  • Educated to A-level or above
  • Proficient user of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with a good level of IT literacy.
  • Demonstrates a good level of proactivity and forward planning with an ability to take ownership of workload.
  • Eye for detail.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Able to work as part of a team and individually.
  • Collaborative in style.
  • Reliable and a good timekeeper.
  • Good communicator.
