6 MONTH FTC IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
The key elements of the IT Support Technician Function are to operate in an authoritative support role, responsible for the providing internal IT support for server and client systems, software, network and telecoms infrastructure.
As the I.T Support Technician you will be maintaining an internal I.T. helpdesk operation to meet the operational needs of the business which will involve monitoring and maintaining reliable data back up systems and procedures. Here you will ensure that appropriate measures are established and maintained to safeguard the security of the Company’s IT infrastructure, systems, processes, databases and information contained therein, whether on or off-site. You will also provide IT assistance with the generation and upkeep of corporate presentation material, animations, films, and other such material.
The right person for this role will have strong support technician skills and will previously have worked as a 2nd line IT support level such as a Desktop Support, IT Support Analyst or IT Support Engineer and have a range of skills:
– Microsoft Office 2013, 2016+. • Windows 7/10/2012R2+.
– MS Exchange 2013+.
– Active Directory.
– Networking (subnetting, L3 routing).
– Exposure to virtualisation (preferably Hyper-V).
– Understanding of failover host clustering.
– Understanding of DR and backup technologies and methodologies.
– Exposure to Microsoft Azure would be advantageous but is not essential. • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
