IT Support Engineer (Entry Level)
Location: Hersham, Surrey (moving to Weybridge, Surrey in Autumn 2022)
Salary: £20,000 PA
Duration: Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday 9.00am-5.30pm (Hybrid 3 days office 2 days from home)

The IT Support Engineer would support IT infrastructure and users based on and off-site. The position would primarily involve providing outstanding technical support for our team; management of software and hardware, security and network systems and providing first line of support for service tickets.

Occasional out of hours work may be required for example to update systems without disruption during usual business hours

Key Responsibilities of an IT Support Engineer

• Provide Technical support to staff members
• Assist with Infrastructure Projects
• Computer Setup, maintenance and updates
• Monitor anti-virus and intrusion activities across all servers and devices
• Closely monitor server performances across all services and servers and ensure business continuity
• Maintain IT related inventory of computers, mobile phones, software licenses, network equipment, printer, meeting room equipment etc
• Support Office 365/Applications, 365 administration of Users and Groups
• Assist with documentation of our Clients’ Policies
• Manage and assign service tickets/IT change requests and administer Jira

Key Competencies of an IT Support Engineer

• User support and troubleshooting experience in both hardware and software
• MS client and server administration skills
• Client OS knowledge, Active Directory and group policies
• DB – MS SQL Server knowledge
• SharePoint and Teams administration
• Jira Administration
• Networking and data backup knowledge, working with DR
• Excellent knowledge of all MS Office Products and tools (cmd, powershell)
• Good knowledge of iPhone and mobile device management (MDM)
• Basic firewall and VPN knowledge & skills
• Strong customer services ethos and good team player
• Excellent communication skills in English
