Global Event Manager
Location: Teddington
Salary: £28 – £32,000 PA
Duration: Permanent
Hours: WFH with one-day office based (or more if you would prefer) 35 hour per week Monday – Friday

Summary of a Global Event Manager
This role will take responsibility for delivering all elements for circa 40 events in London and our global hubs. We’re looking for someone who can help deliver and elevate our event program, to ensure it is classed as not only a worthy source of inspiration and insight for our members but a must have benefit of membership. All of this will support with the core business vision to ensure our members feel connected, engaged and proud of being part of the organization In this role you will work as part of the events team working alongside the UK Head of Events, Global Transformation Lead, Global Event & Flagships Manager and Event Apprentice in the planning and execution of our program of 120 events across our global locations.


Key Responsibilities of a Global Event Manager
• You will be allocated specific projects to work on (these will be series based e.g. book clubs, learning labs, dinners etc.
• Your role will be to develop content ideas aligned with what our members need to know, make informed speaker suggestions, and plan your allocated events from conception to execution with the support of the Event apprentice and wider team.
• To be responsible for the coordination and management of your allocated events (circa 40 per annum).
• To manage the events in the lead up, on the day and be the main point of contact. Creating event comms timelines, managing catering, venue/AV, developing topics and talking points, managing speaker briefings and ensuring events are delivered on time, within budget, and meet expectations – 95%
• Working collaboratively with the wider team on creating the event comms, creative, design to ensure a smooth delivery of the marketing campaign which drives the project and provides an exemplary guest experience– 5%


Key Competencies of a Global Event Manager
• Must have 2 years plus event management experience
• A passion for events with lots of enthusiasm and energy
• Extremely organised
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Results driven, with the ability to work well under pressure with multiple deadlines
• Familiarity with all major office applications including MS office, Photoshop and InDesign
• The ability to use your own initiative and work well in a team
• Good negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships quickly
