FP & A Analyst
Location – Chertsey
Salary – £218.61 – £230.61 per day
Duration – Ongoing contract

Summary of a FP & A Analyst
This role is ideal for someone who would like to tap in to commercial finance world from traditional FP&A position.

Responsibilities of a FP & A Analyst

• The end goal of this role is to draft & produce the P&L by collating scenario plans with full knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
• The candidate should be able to capture the transaction nature and should be able to substantiate it into P&L standalone
• The successful candidate should be able to discuss with Sales Director, Commercial Finance Manager and Business Strategy Director regarding deals and how it should be feedback into P&L and B/S when business makes Sales Deduction (Sales Allowance, Rebate) decisions
• Provide the relevant and timely information of P&L updates to stakeholders and monitor adherence to the P&L versus actual operation
• Develop, implement and maintain an effective planning and analysis capability that will provide all stakeholders to measure performance of the relevant business at division level
• Ensure the integrity of P&L modelling and projections through implementation of suitable controls and documentations
• Success of the role depends on the accuracy of P&L drafting and at the same time speed of the turnaround as it the forecasting process happens with limited timeframe to accommodate global timeline
• Identify opportunities/risks to the above plan and flag such aspects to the stakeholders including senior management teams in TV and DA
• Produce regular financial reporting to give an overview of business and financial performance Highlight trends, key actions, and financial/accounting implications
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to help ensure CE Commercial Finance Team is well informed re: business status and has a strong voice in the organisation

Key competencies of a FP & A Analyst

• Part-Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with proven ability in accounting or industry finance
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a high pressure environment
• Excellent analytical skills to understand business drivers and interpret financial results
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels, get key messages across succinctly and work with others
• Consistent record in demonstrating accountability and ownership; proactive approach
• Strong reporting skills, display key information and convey messages clearly, concisely and with impact
