CV Writing Tips

  1. Do not make your CV too long. Try to stick to 2 sides of A4 if possible

  3. Always write your CV in chronological order with your most recent position first
  4. Avoid being too wordy – your key responsibilities should be bulleted clearly and concisely
  5. Try to write your CV in the third person. Avoid using ‘I’
  6. Make sure the information you provide is relevant to the role you are applying for

  11. Try and make your CV sound enthusiastic and confident and keep it interesting
  12. Outline your key skills close to the top of your CV so they can be seen at a glance
  13. Use the past tense for your previous jobs and present tense for your current one
